Paddle

Your pickleball paddle is your trusty companion. According to regulations, the paddle's total dimensions – length, width, edge guard, and end cap – must not exceed 24 inches. The paddle face should measure no more than 17 inches in length. While thickness is not restricted, paddle materials come in composite, wood, or graphite. Beginners often prefer the finesse of lightweight composite paddles, while those seeking power tend to opt for graphite paddles.

Net and Court
Pickleball is played on a 44’ x 20’ court, typically made of clay, asphalt, concrete, or polyurethane. The net stands 36” tall at the sides and dips slightly to 34” in the center for that perfect gameplay height. For an authentic experience, accurate court lines are essential. If a permanent court isn’t an option, no problem! You can set up a temporary court using removable lines or chalk on a flat surface like your driveway. Footwear
Certain venues mandate non-marking sole shoes to safeguard the court's surface. Comfortable, supportive court shoes ensure fluid movement and steadfast grip, elevating your gameplay experience. Protect your feet and ankles by opting for the right footwear – court shoes are your best bet for pickleball. Running and cross-training shoes are designed for running in a straight line in one direction and will not support the stop-and-go, side-to-side movement that pickleball demands. Court shoes will provide the lateral support and stability essential for the game. Choosing running shoes for court sports can also increase the risk of ankle injuries and strain on the plantar fascia. Prioritize comfort and safety!

Pickleballs are crafted from plastic and adhere to strict standards: weighing between .89 and .935 ounces with a diameter of 2.87 to 2.97 inches. The distinction between indoor and outdoor pickleballs lies in the hole configuration. Indoor balls feature 26 larger holes, ensuring a softer touch perfect for indoor play. On the other hand, outdoor balls have around 40 smaller holes for added durability and a lively bounce, ideal for outdoor matches.
